Netflix 'Sex Education' - Dance Stage

The Brief

As a personal favourite amongst the office we were more than excited to get the opportunity to work with the production team on the second season of Sex Education. The Director was looking for a Dance Stage to use as a prop within a key scene but it was essential the machine featured no copy-right content and required custom fabrication. Additionally, the game needed to play approved license music … simple enough, right?

Casting Call

We showcased a number of different models to the Art Director and Production team months prior to filming, ensuring the specific product meet the requirements on the scene scripted. Our In The Groove, which is the latest instalment in the classic dance series, allowing players to dance to a huge selection of music videos, accumulating points by timing their dance steps was the perfect solution.

The Perfect Take

The game was easy to install, looked great on set and both actors and crew had no issues with their new cast member. We supplied a member of staff throughout the two-day shoot ensuring an efficient use of time on set. Due to the extra steps pre and during filming the production team found using our dance machine as a prop completely effortless.
